Privacy Policy

Oshi is a sumo companion app with widgets, a Live Activity, spoiler-safe results and daily picks. It is built to work without an account: no name, email, phone number, contacts or location is ever asked for.
What we store
- An anonymous ID. On first launch the app creates a random identifier and a device secret, kept in your iPhone's Keychain. Our server keeps the ID and a one-way hash of the secret.
- Your app data. The rikishi you follow, your daily picks and scores, streaks, which days you have revealed, an optional display handle, your timezone, language and notification preferences.
- Push tokens. If you allow notifications or start a Live Activity, Apple issues a token that lets us send result-ready alerts and Live Activity updates to this device.
- Purchase status. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm which plan is active on your anonymous ID. We never see your card or Apple Account details.
What we don't do
- No advertising, ever, and no ad networks.
- No tracking across other apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of data with data brokers.
- No third-party analytics SDKs.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts our server and database.
- RevenueCat manages subscription and purchase status (privacy policy).
- Apple processes payments and delivers notifications.
Sumo results and banzuke data come from public sources; no personal data is sent to them.
This website
oshisumo.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Cloudflare, which serves the site, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while you use the app. You can erase it at any time in Settings → Delete my data: this removes your anonymous ID from the device and deletes your server records, including picks, follows and push tokens. Records of past purchases may be kept by Apple and RevenueCat as required for billing and tax.
Children
Oshi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data. Use in-app deletion, or email support@oshisumo.app with the anonymous ID shown in Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes too. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
